I am the titular Madame Ruffles and this is my House. Plus-sized, coming up on 30, a solitary Lolita. This fashion has been a joy of mine for about a decade now and I've seen a lot of trends and styles come and go and blend.
My favorite style is actually Casual! I don't tend to stick to one style, but everyday utility and comfort are my go-to traits when getting dressed. Old-School, Classic, simple Sweet, and Gothic are my substyles of choice - really, I spot a dress I like with a vibe in mind and I'll go for it.
For the boring bits and things to expect:
This blog will be dedicated to things I like: new releases, coordination ideas, fun trends, dress appreciation, etc. I'd like to showcase plus-sized, disabled, LGBTQA+, and BIPOC Lolitas, though examples can be tough to find while I'm using freely available images from publications and brand websites.
This isn't about not wanting to credit independent Lolitas! I simply don't want to use images without permission! I'm considering brand photos and publications as fair game (with credit) since they're available for the public to view.
On the off-chance you have your own Lolita photos you would like to submit, I am more than happy to have them! They will find a home here.
